LEWISTON — Donald Lingley, 84, passed away in Lewiston onTuesday, Aug. 7.
Don was born in Eastport on March 28, 1934, and lived there until 1964, when he moved to Pineland Center, where he resided until 1973. He lived in Turner and Buckfield before moving to a Creative Works program in 2007. He was supported by Creative Works until recently, when he entered d’Youville Pavilion nursing home due to declining health.
Don loved to reminisce and entertain folks with stories about his experiences growing up in Eastport. He continued to visit Eastport every year to celebrate the July 4 holiday, where he stayed with friends at the Milliken House.
He held a variety of jobs in his earlier years including Hillcrest Poultry and The Nezinscot Guild in Turner. In later years, after retiring from employment, he attended Creative Works Day Program where he had many friends.
Don was predeceased by his parents and grandparents.
