MECHANIC FALLS — Gary William Durgin of Mechanic Falls passed away at his home Monday, Aug. 13.
Gary served his country as a U.S. Marine. He retired from BIW after many years of employment. Gary loved building sheds and homes, and was a dedicated family man who, alongside his wife, always helped those in need.
He was predeceased by his wife of 52 years, Mildred, who passed away last August.
He is survived by his daughter, Tanya Underwood; son-in-law, John Underwood; granddaughter, Kaitlynn Underwood; and his siblings, nieces and nephews.
