Kite-flying group planning fly 

NORWAY — Color the Sky, Kite Fly!, a kite-flying group, will hold monthly outings on selected weekends in Norway and surrounding towns, dates to depend on the wind and weather.

Time of kite-flying sessions will be from 1 to 4 p.m., meeting at area locations. The outings are free and open to all.

Bethel Senior Citizen Club meeting

BETHEL — The Bethel Senior Citizen Club meeting will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 12, at the Sudbury Inn, Main Street.

The menu is chicken tetrazzini or baked haddock, and meal choices should be made by calling Donna Douglass at 207-824-2591 by Aug. 31.

The annual picnic will be at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 26, at Pleasant River Camping Area.

Church hosting a Parents’ Night Out

BETHEL — West Parish Congregational Church will host Parents’ Night Out from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday, Aug. 31, at 32 Church St.

This will be an opportunity for parents to have an evening out while the church members take care of their children.

Dinner, a movie, games and activities will be provided. There is no charge, but donations will be accepted.
