Janet Mills has proven herself repeatedly, both as a state legislator in the past and, recently, as Maine’s attorney general. She is well liked by both parties.

I am so pleased that voters have a calm, dedicated, bright, effective candidate for governor.

Independent Terry Hayes has been state treasurer under the current administration and thinks of herself as being fiscally responsible.

I am a doctor and I am angry that my taxes go to expanding Medicaid in other states but not to my own. Bodies are like buildings — they need to be maintained or major problems result. I can see patients for free, but that is no help when they can’t afford their medicine.

Janet Mills says she will expand Medicaid on her first day in office. I am voting for her on Nov. 6.
