Ned Claxton has been listening carefully to the residents of Senate District 20 (Auburn, Poland, New Gloucester, Mechanic Falls, Minot) as he knocks on doors to meet members of that district. While driving him around the back roads of Poland, I have been consistently impressed with his ability to listen respectfully and with compassion to the people he is meeting and find common ground with them.
His career as a pediatrician and an involved citizen of the district has prepared Claxton well to work and problem-solve with legislators on both sides of the aisle on issues such as health care, education and the environment. He will also bring to Augusta much-needed common sense, a strong work ethic, a sense of humor and a commitment to service and civility.
I encourage the voters of Senate District 20 to join me in supporting Ned Claxton.
