For anyone seeking to vote for an appropriate candidate in the wide array of possibilities, I recommend looking at John Butler, who is seeking a position as an Androscoggin County commissioner.
I have known Butler since 1997 when I moved to the neighborhood in which he resides. He is a strong supporter of his neighbors and has been a constant in supporting Lewiston.
He has served on the Lewiston City Council, the Lewiston School Committee for 16 years, and was a pivotal member of the committee working on the plans for the new Robert Connors School. He has been a consistent advocate and would like to offer his expertise to the County Commission, on which I believe he would be a most valuable asset.
I hope that voters will strongly consider John Butler for the position on Nov. 6.
