Pearl V. “Vicki” (Garrett) McPeek

1948 – 2018

RUMFORD – Vicki McPeek, 70, of Rumford passed away on Monday, Oct. 8, 2018 with her family by her side at Central Maine Medical Center in Auburn. Vicki was born in Rumford, Maine, on June 11, 1948, the daughter of Aurel and Geneva (Curtis) Garrett.
Vicki married her soul mate, Harold R. McPeek on June 22, 1968 in Mexico where they enjoyed 45 years together. The couple had three children, Jon, Angela, and Kathy; and three amazing grandchildren, Kurt, Kyle, and Alexa.
Vicki’s passions in life were religion, praying and pouring out love for her family and friends. She really enjoyed going for rides, “buzz loops” as she called them, with her husband. She also enjoyed cooking, cheering for grandchildren, and loved Thanksgiving and Christmas when family was all together.
Vicki is survived by her daughter, Angela Varnum, husband, Silver, and their daughter, Alexa of Dixfield; daughter, Kathy McPeek of Dover, N.H., and her sons, Kurt and Kyle Townsend of Hampden; nephews, Loring (Dana) Martin of North Carolina, David Martin of South Dakota, Harlan Martin of Virginia, Randy Garrett of Portland, Seth Ionta of Yarmouth; niece, Holly Garrett of Old Town; and many great nephews, great nieces, and cousins.
Vicki was predeceased by her husband, Harold R. McPeek; son, Jon A. McPeek; parents, Aurel and Geneva Garrett; brothers, Bruce, David, Richard, and Levi Garrett; and a sister, Pamela Martin.

Celebration of life service will be held at Meader and Son Funeral Home, Franklin Street, P. O. Box 537, Rumford, Maine, from 10 a.m.- noon, Oct. 28, 2018. Final resting place will be at Maine Veterans Cemetery in Augusta.
