Lester L. Faunce

 

1940 – 2018

AUGUSTA – Lester L. Faunce, 78, a resident of North Turner and formerly of Miami, Fla., passed away Sunday, Nov. 11, 2018, at Togus VA Medical Center in Augusta. He was born Sept. 5, 1940, in Livermore, the son of Henry E. and Myrtle (Burgess) Faunce.

 

He graduated from Leavitt Institute in 1958. Lester joined the United States Navy in 1958 and retired in 1976 as a chief petty officer and a communications technician. He worked for many years as owner and operator of The TAC Sports Bar in Miami. and was a self-employed building contractor for 33 years in Miami. He had just recently moved back to Maine.

He is survived by his daughters, Kelli Hebert and husband, Palmer, of Livermore, Kim Cote and husband, Mike, of Livermore; grandchildren, Jenni Dunne and husband, Zach, Michael Hebert, Tyler Cote and fiancé, Renee Violette, Marissa Cote, Elizabeth Cote and companion, Mike Belluzzi; great-grandchildren, Jonathan, Kalleigh and Emma Dunne; his brother, Robert Faunce and his wife, Avril, of Palm Coast, Fla.; and his sister, Trudy Faunce of North Turner; many loving nieces and nephews; and a very good friend Orlando of Miami.

 

He was predeceased by his parents, Henry E. Faunce, Sr. and Myrtle (Burgess) Faunce; brothers, Henry and Hollis “Hoppy” Faunce; sister, Harriett Goulet; and his half-sister, Janice Faunce.
