Priscilla L. Bazinet

1922 – 2018

BRUNSWICK – Priscilla L. Bazinet, 96, formerly of 209 Webster St., Lewiston died Thursday, Nov. 15, 2018, at the Horizons Living and Rehab Center where she resided for the past two years and two months. She died with her family by her side.

Born in Lewiston, Aug. 1, 1922, the daughter of the late Ferdinand and Azilda Belanger Gagne, she was educated in Lewiston schools.

She was married to Joseph Bazinet at Holy Cross Church on June 24, 1945. He died Dec. 16, 1980.

Mrs. Bazinet was a member of the Prince of Peace Parish at Holy Cross Church and worked for many years at Bates Mfg Co Hill Division. She was an avid bingo player and enjoyed sewing, knitting, crotcheting and playing Skip Bo with her family. Mom will be remembered for the kind and loving person she was. While a resident at Horizon’s, she was able to crotchet a scarf for all of the staff and many of the residents.

She was a member of VFW in Auburn, American Legion Post 22, Aden 40, part of the American Legions, Lewiston and Auburn Senior Citizens and Ladies Auxiliary of Holy Cross.

She is survived by four daughters, Dorothy Nelson and husband, Robert, of Connecticut, Monique Breault and husband, Simeon, of Brunswick, Pauline Dube of Augusta, Theresa Roy and husband Ronald of Lewiston, son Edwin Bazinet and his wife, Dot of Monmouth; 15 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, a great-great-granddaughter, her sister Florence G. Michaud of Falmouth, her brother-in-law Lionel Lemieux of Lewiston, and many nieces and nephews. She was also predeceased by her son, Alfred Bazinet in 1982; her son-in-laws, Edwin Coffren and Eugene Dube; five sisters and seven brothers.

The family wishes to thank the staff at Horizons Living and Rehab Center for the excellent care along with Chans Hospice Care our mom received while in their care, the pastoral care team of All Saints Parish of Brunswick and the many relatives and friends who visited her.

Visitation, The Fortin Group Auburn, Nov. 19, Monday, 5-8 p.m. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Nov. 20th Tuesday 11 a.m., Holy Cross Church 1080 Lisbon St., Lewiston, Maine. Committal will follow at St. Peter’s Cemetery Mausoleum. A service of The Fortin Group Plummer & Merrill Funeral Home, 217 Turner St. Auburn, Maine.
