EAST DIXFIELD — Patrick and Melissa Smith of East Dixfield are happy to announce the engagement of their daughter, Sabrina Smith, to Colby Jepson, son of Wanda and Glenwood Berry of Carthage.
The couple grew up a year apart in school but never really knew one another until they had classes together in college. They were college sweethearts and have been together for more than two years. He proposed to her in September.
The future bride attended Dirigo High School and went to Central Maine Community College for surveying and civil engineering. She is employed by Maine Department of Transportation in the surveying department.
The future groom also attended Dirigo High School and Central Maine Community College. He studied precision machining technology and works at ABB, formerly known as General Electric.
