Brenda J. Thompson

1943 ~ 2018

 Winthrop – Brenda J. Thompson, 74, a resident of Livermore, passed away, Tuesday, November 20th at Heritage Nursing Rehabilitation Center in Winthrop, due to complications associated with dementia.  She was born December 17, 1943 in Anson, the daughter Harry E. Niles and Pearle (Arris) Niles.  Brenda was a graduate of Madison High School. On October 31, 1964 at St. Sebastian Church in Madison, she married David E. Thompson.  They enjoyed 35 years of marriage before his passing on August 29, 2000.  Brenda worked as a certified bank teller at Franklin Savings in Jay and Kingfield Savings in Kingfield. She had moved to Kingfield in 1987 and resided there until 2016 when she moved back to Livermore by her son Chad. Brenda enjoyed painting, tole painting, and crocheting.  Dave would carve ducks and fish and Brenda would paint them, in fact she would paint anything with a flat service, including painting an old saw that Dave had restored. She also did an amazing custom art painting on her motorcycle. Brenda was an avid reader, Stephen King novels were her favorites, she was a devoted Patriots fan, and also enjoyed riding her motorcycle.  She is survived by her son, Chad Thompson and companion Tracy Sturtevant of Livermore, her daughter, Kelly Cummings and husband Thomas of Albion, 3 grandchildren, Cassie Shink, and Morgan and Christopher Lane, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, and two sisters. Una Seamon and Beverly Elliot.  Brenda J.
