AUBURN – Debra Jean Laplante, 56, of Auburn passed away peacefully on Monday, Dec. 10, 2018, following a courageous battle with cancer.
Born in Lewiston, Maine on September 3, 1962, she was the daughter of Beverly (Davenport) York and the late Ramon Gauthier.
A graduate of Lewiston High School, Debbie lived in Lewiston and Auburn her entire life, raising two boys and amassing countless close friends, often beating some of them in a spirited game of pool.
She is remembered for her strong work ethic, big heart and willingness to help others.
She is survived by her fiancé, Mike Gammon; sons, Todd Parker and his wife, Amanda and Justin Ciszewski; her mother, Beverly York; her “Dad”, Richard York; her siblings, Ronald Gauthier and his wife, Kathleen, Raymond Gauthier and partner, Angie Raymond, Tracy Watson and her husband, Andrew and Heidi Quimby and her husband, Neal; one granddaughter, Madison Parker; several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews; and two lifelong, treasured friendships that meant the world to her, Pat Laplante and Vickey True.

Funeral services honoring Debra’s life will be celebrated on Saturday at 11 a.m., at the Pinette Dillingham & Lynch Funeral Home. Burial will be held later in the spring at Oak Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday from 3-7 PM at the Pinette Dillingham & Lynch Funeral Home, 305 Alfred A. Plourde Parkway, in Lewiston.
