ORONO – Nomination papers are available at the town office for the March 12, 2019 municipal election.
There are two three-year terms available on the town council. The terms of Laurie Osher and Tom Spitz are expiring. There also is one 3-year term available on the Orono RSU 26 School Board. The term of Geoff Wingard is expiring.
The deadline for filing papers is 2 p.m. on Friday, January 11, 2019. At least 25, but no more than 100, signatures of Orono voters are required to have a name placed on the ballot.
