Paris Fire Hall to host show

PARIS — The Maine Country Music Association Show & Dance will take place from noon to 5 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 13, at the Paris Fire Hall, 137 Western Ave., South Paris.

Admission is $6 for nonmembers, $5 for members and $2.50 for children under 12. Children must be supervised at all times. Local band, Rail Rattlers, and Tennessee award winner and Paris native, Bill Grover, will perform.

Concessions will be available. There will be raffles and a 50/50.

Free cooking class offered

LEWISTON — A free cooking class, “Cooking With Nutrition,” will be offered at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 22, at the Ark & Olive Branch Cafe, 791 Lisbon St.

The class will be presented by Martin Raj. This class is open to the public.

Rotary breakfast guest speaker

AUBURN — There will be an A-L Rotary Club breakfast and presentation at 7 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 23, at the United Methodist Church, 439 Park Ave. 

The guest speaker will be Hannah DeAngelis, director of Refugee and Immigration Services for Catholic Charities of Maine, Maine’s only refugee resettlement program.

DeAngelis’ background is in nonprofit management, conflict resolution, cultural competency education and classroom teaching. She is originally from Readfield and a graduate of Colby College.

Cost for breakfast is $7.
