LEWISTON – Roderick Lee Garland passed away on Dec. 31, 2018, surrounded by his loved ones at Maine Medical Center in Portland. He was born on Aug. 21, 1957, in Hartford, Conn., son of Wallace and Louise (Burhoe) Garland.

Rick vacationed in Maine before moving with his family to California at a young age. As he grew older, he remembered the love he had for the natural beauty and wildlife that Maine had to offer. His grandchildren adored him and knew him as, “Papa”.
