Lucky DiBello washes dishes Sunday at the Calvary United Methodist Church kitchen in Lewiston, as the weekly warming center hours come to a close. While there is not always a meal available, this week there were leftovers from a baked bean supper that volunteers were happy to provide. The center is open Sundays from noon to 2 p.m., filling a need in the community when there are no public places for some people to get out of the bitter cold. DiBello, who has been a member of the church on and off for many years, volunteers once or twice a month. Pat Gardiner is seen working behind DiBello. (Sun Journal photo by Andree Kehn)
