AUBURN — The Twin City Thunder picked up their fifth straight regular season win, defeating the South Shore Kings 5-2 on Friday night at Norway Savings Bank Arena.

Zachary Desmarais had two goals and two assists for the Thunder, while Derric Trudeau had a goal and an assist. Lewiston native Jeromey Rancourt had three assists in the win.

Ryan Coady gave the Kings 1-0 lead 2:23 into the first period.

Jacob Dubay tied the game nearly eight minutes into the contest. Three minutes later, Rancourt notched the first of his two assists in the game as Desmarais scored his 17th goal of the season to make it 2-1 for the Thunder.

Kyle Waldusky tied the game up for South Shore 4:29 into the middle frame. Desmarais scored the go-ahead goal for the Thunder with 8:23 remaining in the second. Rancourt picked up his second assist with 6:09 left in the period, setting up Nicolas Garneau to make it 4-2.

Derric Trudeau put in the Thunder’s fifth goal at the 11:14 mark of the third period. Desmarais and Rancourt had the assists.
