LEWISTON — Jacob Charest of Lewiston, a member of the Saint Dominic Academy Class of 2016, has recently accepted an engineering co-op with NASA.
Charest is a junior at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, New York, enrolled in the Mechanical & Aeronautical Engineering master’s program. He’ll be working at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory in California, working as part of a team on the Mars 2020 Rover mission. He also recently completed an engineering co-op with Harley-Davidson.
While at St. Dom’s, Jacob was captain of the boys’ varsity soccer team, a member of the boys’ varsity hockey team and president of the National Honor Society. He’s the son of John and Louise Charest.
