LEWISTON – Michel V. Levesque, 68, of 338 Scribner Boulevard, Lewiston, passed away on Sunday, Jan. 27, 2019, at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center, surrounded by his family.

He was born in Lewiston on July 5, 1950, the son of Henry and Irene Despres Levesque. He attended local schools, graduating from Lewiston High School, Class of ’68. He married his wife, Bettylou Vance, on July 27, 1974, and they shared a life together for 44 years. Michel was a loving husband and father. He was an avid outdoorsman, who loved fishing with his son, and also was a huge Red Sox and Patriots fan.

Survivors include his wife Bettylou Levesque of Lewiston; a son Chris Michel Levesque and Karen Heater of Lewiston; two brothers Paul and wife Ida Levesque of Lewiston, and Pierre and wife Jeannine Levesque of Conway, NH., a sister Rosemarie and husband Thomas Goodwin of Lewiston, and a sister-in-law Pat Hinkley Levesque of Elliot. Besides his parents he was predeceased by a brother, Gerard V. Levesque.

A celebration of life for Michel will be held at the Albert & Burpee Funeral Home, 253 Pine St., Lewiston, ME, 04240, on Saturday Feb. 2, 2018, from 12 p.m. – 2 p.m., with a memorial service at 2 p.m.
