A Ukranian Egg Dying workshop will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 24, at The Folk Art Studio at Fiber and Vine, 402 Main St., Norway. Pysanky is a decorating technique in which intricate designs are painted on eggs using beeswax “pens,” or kitska. These layers of wax are brought to life with a palette of vivid dyes, to stunning effect. Whether folks choose to use traditional designs or experiment with their own patterns — or both — participants will leave with at least one beautifully decorated and finished egg. Each participant will receive supplies to take home. The class will be led by Sarah Keener of Waterford.
