Don F. Pease

JAY – Don F. Pease, 75, of Jay passed away peacefully on Jan. 22, 2021 at Androscoggin Home Hospice in Auburn from complications following a massive stroke. He was born on May 19, 1945 in East Wilton, the son of Elmer and Thelma (Gould) Pease.He attended school at East Wilton Elementary and Wilton Academy. On Nov. 27, 1965 he married Joan Jackson who predeceased him on March 15, 1992. Through the years, he held various positions. He worked at Bass Shoe. He was an accomplished hand sewer. Working at Forster Manufacturing, he was a skilled tin knocker. At Daniels Construction he did instrumentation and for many years he worked in the woods. Most recently, he was a driver for Community Concepts until his retirement in 2017.Avid fan of the NASCAR SERIES and everything racing, he attended the Oxford 250 frequently.Don loved his deer season, hunting with sons, friends and family.He looked forward to Farmington Fair, he loved his reserved front row seat at the pulling ring where he never missed a pull. He had a great passion for Antique Tractors, restoring them and pulling them. He was a longtime Member of the Maine Antique Tractor Club where he received numerous awards, among them, 2017 Farm Tractor Top Puller in the 4500 LB Class; and 2019 Farm Tractor Top Puller of the year in the 2500 LB Class. He is survived by his sons; siblings; and grandchildren. A graveside committal will be held in the spring at Lakeview Cemetery in Wilton.
