Cub Scout Pack 111 of Auburn recently ran its annual Pinewood Derby race, but not without the pandemic forcing a change. As many parts of the Cub Scout program have moved to virtual spaces, the Pinewood Derby was conducted virtually, protecting the community and scouts from COVID transmission. Scouts built their cars and checked them in like any other year. But then adult volunteers handled and filmed the races, so that scouts could see their cars in action. Contributed
