Carlton “Bill” Hammond

TURNER – Carlton “Bill” Hammond, born Feb. 3, 1931, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, Feb. 9, 2021.

He served in the Army during the Korean War.

He was predeceased by his wife of 58 years, Barbara Bessey Hammond. He leaves behind three children, Reggie Hammond and wife Janet of Rangeley, Stacy Cobb and husband Derek of Wayne and Darcy Moreau of Florida; brother, Barry Hammond and wife Ann of Livermore; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Also a very dear companion and friend, Lorraine Jarden.

A service will be held on Saturday, Feb. 20, 2021, at the East Auburn Baptist Church for immediate family only. The service will be live streamed via the internet for anybody that can’t be there or that would like to see the service.

Interment will be in the spring at the Maine Veterans Cemetery in Augusta.
