Jennifer Lynn Jalbert

LEWISTON – Jennifer Lynn Jalbert, 50, of 280 Pine St., Lewiston, died at her residence on Friday, Feb. 5, 2021, following a brief battle with cancer.

Born in Lewiston on Feb. 27, 1970, she was the daughter of Marc and Claire Caron Jalbert. Educated locally, she was a graduate of Lewiston High School, class of ‘88. As a high school junior, Jennifer started her work career at Medical Management of New England (aka Medaphis then Per-Se Technologies) – she started in the mailroom, then started processing medical billing, A/R follow up and eventually became supervisor of the customer service unit. At St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center, she spent many years as a patient representative helping patients with their bills, applying for financial assistance or other programs and most recently supervisor, Denials Management Unit.

She was a member of the Mission Advisory Committee. She spent 22 years there, and was awarded the St. Marguerite d’Youville award for excellence. She was a person with a big heart and always gave of herself to help and enable those around her who were in any kind of need.

Survivors include her husband, Robert “Rob” Ryan of Lewiston, who she married on July 7, 2017; her parents of Lewiston; a sister, Jessica St. Cyr and husband John, of Lewiston; two nieces, Kelsey St. Cyr and fiancé Jacob McBride of Lewiston, and Megan St. Cyr of Lewiston; four aunts, Carmen White of Lisbon, Carol Genthner of Damariscotta, Suzanne Morin of Mason, Mich., and Rachel Caron of Lewiston, two uncles, Roland Jalbert and wife Patricia of Saco, Paul Jalbert and wife Mary Anne Deveau of Torrington, Conn.; and her mother-in-law, Ann Martinoli of Powell, Ohio; three stepdaughters, Brittany and Courtney Ryan of Auburn, and Haley Ryan of Baldwin.

The family would like to thank the Oncology Department and the staff of M1 at CMMC, and the first responders from United Ambulance and the Lewiston Police and Fire Departments. Services will be private.
