Muriel Arlene Richard

LEWISTON – Muriel Arlene Richard, 76, of Lewiston passed away in her home on Thursday Feb. 18, 2021, due to an unexpected medical event.

She was born in Sanford on Dec. 2, 1944, a daughter of the late Conrad and Theresa (Cote) Cloutier. She grew up in Sanford and attended local schools.

She raised three children as a single mother until she married her love, Philippe A. Richard, of over 30 years until his passing in 2014. During that time, they lived and worked in Lewiston. Muriel dedicated over 30 years to Maine Family Federal Credit Union as a loan officer until her retirement.

She will always be remembered for her unending love of life and her devotion to family. She was cherished and will continue to be by all who knew her.

She is survived by her three children; Mark Mauzeralle, Danielle Troiano and her husband Robert and Michelle Jensen and her husband, Stephen. She also leaves behind her five grandchildren; Melissa Merrow, Madison Raymond, Alex Raymond, Anja Jensen and Emma Jensen as well as her four great-grandchildren; Hunter, Brynn, Ryder and Kenzie and all of her beloved siblings; Rachel Johnson, Diane Ridley and Richard Cloutier.

Muriel was predeceased by her loving husband, Philippe and her sister, Suzanne.

Visiting hours will be held at Fortin\Lewiston on Tuesday Feb. 23, 2021, from 4-7p.m. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, only 50 people are allowed in the funeral home at one given time. The family thanks you for your understanding and patience.

A private Liturgy of the Word service will take place on Wednesday, Feb. 24, 2021, at 11 a.m. The service will be Livestreamed on The Fortin Group’s Facebook Page Wednesday at 11 a.m. Committal prayers will be said at St. Peter’s Cemetery at a later date.
