FARMINGTON Terion Moss dropped in a game-high 22 points as UMaine-Farmington earned a 90-64 win over Southern Maine in local men’s basketball action Saturday.

Kyle Donlin and Nathan Violette each scored 18 points for the Beavers (2-0). Jack Kane added 17 points and 12 rebounds.

Keenan Hendricks led the Huskies (2-1) with 11 points. Jason Lombard had 10 points, and Cody Hawes got nine points and nine rebounds off the bench.

MEN’S COLLEGE HOCKEY

UCONN 4, UMAINE 2: Ryan Tverberg’s power-play goal with 2:16 remaining broke a 2-2 tie and lifted Connecticut to a win over Maine in a Hockey East game Saturday in Storrs, Conn.

Maine (3-10-1) erased a two-goal deficit when Adam Dawe struck for a pair of power-play goals in the last two minutes of the second period, tying the game with just .4 seconds left.

Carter Berger and Adam Karashik also scored for UConn (9-10-2), and Marc Gatcomb got an empty-netter in the final second.

Victor Ostman made 43 saves for Maine.

WOMEN’S COLLEGE HOCKEY

UNE 2, SOUTHERN MAINE 0: Jessie Scott scored in the first period and Bella Crugnale added a second-period goal as the Nor’easters (3-0-0) defeated the Huskies (1-3-0) at USM Ice Arena in Gorham.

Julia Benjamin made 15 saves for the shutout. UNE has allowed just one goal in three games against the Huskies this season.

Kyra Yu assisted on both goals, and Avery Lutrzykowski assisted on Crugnale’s goal.

USM goalie Haley McKim stopped 29 shots.

WOMEN’S COLLEGE BASKETBALL

UNE 68, SOUTHERN MAINE 62: Jordyn Franzen scored 22 points and Juliana Tracey added 20 to lead the Nor’easters (1-0) to a win over the Huskies (0-3) in Biddeford.

Franzen also recorded 12 rebounds and five assists. Faith Connors chipped in with 15 points.

USM was led by Kristen Curley with 13 points and Amy Fleming with 12. Victoria Harris added eight points and seven rebounds.

WOMEN’S SOCCER

ALBANY 2, MAINE 0: Jasmine Colbert scored midway through the first half, Jada Colbert made it 2-0 in the 85th minute, and Sophia Chen needed only two saves as the Great Danes (1-1) blanked the Black Bears (0-2) in Albany, New York.
