LISBON — A local motorcyclist injured in a collision with a deer Tuesday evening was being treated at a Portland hospital Thursday.
James Bragg, 33, was listed in satisfactory condition at Maine Medical Center, according to spokeswoman Caroline Cornish.
Bragg sustained serious head injuries when the 2008 Yamaha Raider he was operating collided with a deer, police Chief Ryan McGee said. Bragg was not wearing a helmet, he said.
He was taken to Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston and later transferred to Portland.
The accident, which occurred around 8 p.m. Tuesday, is under investigation. Witnesses to it are asked to call the Lisbon Police Department at 353-2500, ext. 1 and ask to speak with Detective Christopher Sibley.

We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
