This year due to Covid-19 the Rangeley Public Library was unable to host its traditional Spaghetti Dinner at the Episcopal Church. Rather, Patty Cerminara made her famous sauce and the library sold it as a take-out item for pick-up on February 13th. Due to the generosity of Forks in the Air this year Patty’s sauce was made with bison meat donated by the restaurant. As a result people were able to enjoy a Cerminara dinner at home with their families.
Sauce was offered fresh or frozen and for those who picked up their sauce at the library they received a box of spaghetti and biscotti. The library sold 165 jars of sauce and also received several generous donations. In all, it was a very successful fundraiser for the library during a year where we have had to cancel most of our fund-raising events. The Rangeley Public Library is very appreciative of your continuing community support!

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
