The first event of Maine Mini Golf Tour’s ambitious 2021 schedule is fast approaching.

The 2021 Tabers Spring Fling Presented by Maine Mini Golf Tour will take place on Sunday, April 25 at Tabers Restaurant and Golf Center in Auburn.

The festivities kick off at 8:30 a.m. with hot chocolate and a “spring-colored golf ball hunt,” during which kids of all ages are welcome to arrive at the course and search for pastel-colored golf balls scattered about the course. The first 36 kids to find a ball may keep one. The charge for the ball hunt is $5, and includes one fun round of mini golf.

At 9:30 a.m., the competitive tournament kicks off. Junior putters (12-and-under) will pay $10 to play two rounds of mini golf. The three junior golfers with lowest total scores from the two rounds will win prizes, as will the junior golfer with the most holes-in-one on the morning.

Also at 9:30 a.m., the action heats up in the Open division tournament. Area mini golfers will pay $15 for three rounds of mini golf, all vying for the top prize of $200! The Top 6 finishers will all win money, as will the player with the most holes-in-one, and there will be other prizes drawn for and handed out.

Each golfer in the competitive divisions will also receive a spring-themed golf ball, courtesy of Maine Mini Golf Tour.
