Joline Chouinard works in her garden Thursday in Lewiston. She and her husband, Norm, grow fruits and vegetables on the 2½ acres she has lived on since she was born 65 years ago. “All this land was paid for with turnips and carrots sold at a penny a pound,” she said of the land once owned by her grandfather. “I’m never going to stop gardening,” she said.
