Patricia Jackson McNear

SOUTH LIVERMORE – Patricia Jackson McNear, 84, of South Livermore, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on April 29, 2021.

She was born April 9, 1937, in Livermore, the daughter of Perley W. and Verna M. (Staples) Jackson of Livermore.

She graduated from Livermore Falls High School in 1955. She met her husband Lawrence “Mac” on a blind date and married six months later on Sept. 1, 1956. They would have celebrated their 65th anniversary this year.

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Family and friends were very dear to her.

Her many hobbies included gardening, cooking, quilting, reading and spending time at their camp at Moosehead Lake. She also loved spending time at the ocean, particularly Wells Beach. Most important of all was spending time with her family and friends, she will be deeply missed.

She is survived by her husband, Lawrence “Mac”; daughter, Shelly Hanson and Peter of Chelsea; sons, Randall and Tammy of Wayne; Stephen and Shirley of Livermore. Grandchildren: Brent, Mat, Kristyn and Jessica McNear and Barry Hanson; great grandchildren: Cassidy, Alex, Lucas, Tucker and Raelynn McNear; and Trystan and Chase Hanson. She is also survived by her sister, Arlene Dube.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, William.

The family would like to extend a very sincere thank you to Dr. Michelle Knapp and Androscoggin Home Healthcare and Hospice for their endless support during this difficult time.

A private graveside service for immediate family will be held at a future date at Fairview Cemetery in Leeds.
