BRUNSWICK — Edward Little broke away from Brunswick in the seventh inning to earn a 4-1 baseball win Saturday.
The Red Eddies (6-3) and Dragons (1-9) entered the final frame tied 1-1. Clay Robbins broke the tie by scoring on a squeeze play to give Edward Little a 2-1 lead, then Patrick Anthoine drove in two runs with a double. Anthoine also had an RBI in the fifth inning.
Alex Avila threw a complete game for the Red Eddies, striking out two and allowing six hits while only throwing 64 pitches.
Decklin Lay had two hits and RBI for Brunswick (1-9), and Tom Harvey added two hits. Dragons pitcher Adam Nussbaum also threw a complete game, striking out three and walking three.
LISBON 9, DIRIGO 5: Mason Booker picked up the win on the mound and helped his own cause at the plate with a double and three RBIs against the Cougars in Lisbon.
Bryce Poulin went 3-for-3 and drove in two runs and Caleb Philip had a pair of hits for Lisbon (6-2).
Wyatt Smith had a double for Dirigo (4-4), and Derek Ducharme had a hit and drove in a run.
OAK HILL 7, WINTHROP 0: Gavin Rawstron struck out 13 and threw a complete-game two-hitter in the Raiders’ win over the Ramblers in Winthrop.
Rawstron also contributed a pair of hits with his bat. Trent Drouin drove in three on two hits and Sam Lindsay had two hits for Oak Hill (6-2).
Logan Baird had one of Winthrop’s (2-6) two hits.
RANGELEY SWEEPS FOREST HILLS: The Rangers (6-0) tamed the Tigers (4-5) twice in Rangeley.
Kenny Thompson struck out 12 for Rangeley in a 14-0 win. Connor Hall and Duncan Irvine each had doubles for the Lakers.
In the other game, Hall and Thompson each had three RBIs for the Lakers in their 18-7 victory. Thompson, Irvine, Garrett Burgess and Will Brey each had a double
SOFTBALL
FRYEBURG 6, GRAY-NEW GLOUCESTER 5: Ella Bruno homered in the first inning and Morgan Fusco smacked a two-run homer in the sixth, leading the Raiders (6-2) past the Patriots (8-2) in Fryeburg.
Fusco finished 3 for 4 with three runs scored, while Bruno had two hits and two RBIs. Emilia DeSanctis struck out 12 and escaped a seventh-inning jam after Gray-New Gloucester scored three runs to cut its deficit to 6-5.
Heather Nevells led the Patriots with three hits.
LEAVITT 13, CONY 9: Kira Welch belted a three-run homer in the Hornets’ seven-run fourth inning in their win over the Rams in Augusta.
Sam Withee had a two-run double in the inning for Leavitt (4-6).
Torrie Webber hit a three-run homer for Cony (1-6) in the sixth inning.

MOUNTAIN VALLEY 9, LISBON 4: Emma Clukey, Autumn Freeman and Gabbie Gallant each had three hits for the Falcons in their victory over the Greyhounds in Rumford.
Cluckey also drove in a run for Mountain Valley (3-6).
Lisbon pitcher Erica Hill had three hits at the plate, and Emily Libby had a pair of hits. Lisbon (3-6) scored three times in the top of the sixth.

RANGELEY EDGES FOREST HILLS TWICE: The Lakers earned their program’s first victories in three years by winning a pair of high-scoring, one-run games against the Tigers in Rangeley.
Both games of the doubleheader were five innings.
Rangeley won the first game 18-17 and the second 13-12. Pitcher Bree Quimby earned victories in both games.
In the first game, the Lakers’ offense was paced by repeat hitters Emily Eastlack, Bree Quimby, Bristol Quimby, Winnie LaRochelle, Nichole LeMay and Isabelle Whittier.
Maddie Retrucci, Carli Frigon and Alexis Campbell were offensive standouts for Forest Hills.
Bristol Quimby and LeMay highlighted Rangeley’s offense in the second game, while Frigon and Angie Rodrigue and nice games at the plate for Forest Hills.
This season is Rangeley’s first with a softball team since 2018. The school didn’t field a team in 2019 and the 2020 season was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
BOYS LACROSSE
OAK HILL/MONMOUTH/LISBON 17, LINCOLN 3: Tiger Hopkins scored eight times for the Raiders in a win over the Eagles in Wales.
Deandre Daniels added three goals for the Raiders (6-0). Riley Worth and Gabe Samson had a goal and two assists apiece, while Ryan Foster, Gavin Leet, Sean Moore and Jacob Godbout each contributed a goal.
Wyatt Banks scored twice and Nate Coolidge scored once for Lincoln Academy (1-2).
ST. DOMINIC 9, FRYEBURG 8: Roman Vitolo scored three of his five goals in the fourth quarter as the Saints (2-3) rallied for a win at Fryeburg.
Murphy Randall contributed two goals and an assist, and Michael Stowe and Garrett Kendall also scored for St. Dom’s.
Will Galligan, Rochon Hixel and Haden Fox each had two goals for Fryeburg (4-3). Owen Galligan and Myles Garland scored a goal apiece.
GIRLS LACROSSE
ST. DOMINIC 19, GRAY-NEW GLOUCESTER/POLAND 7: Taryn Cloutier and Emma Roy scored five goals apiece for the Saints in their victory over the 26ers in Auburn.
Emily Wallingford added four goals and Jess Zimmerman contributed two goals and two assists. Bella Pelletier, Autumn Clark and Natalie Brocke also scored for the Saints (3-4), and goalie Natalia Russell made eight saves.
Andrea Smith scored five times for the 26ers (1-5), and Annabel Foster added two goals. MacKenzie Foster stopped 12 shots.
