Romeo A. Lepage

AUBURN – Romeo A. Lepage, 85, of Auburn, passed away on May 15, 2021, at D’Youville Pavilion. He was born on Oct. 1, 1935, in Lewiston Maine, the son of Jean and Laura (Maheux) Lepage.

He was a leather cutter for Lown Shoe. He later worked at Fancy Stitchers where he was the cutting room supervisor. He also worked many part time jobs.

He enjoyed rollerskating where he eventually met and married his wife Helene on April 27, 1957. He was an avid Hockey Fan who loved to watch the Montreal Canadians. When he retired he spent a lot of time fishing and playing cards with his family and friends. What he enjoyed the most was spending time with his family.

Romeo is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Helene Lepage; his four daughters, Denise Wallingford and friend Roger Roberge, Patty Canning and husband Terry, Claire Carrier and significant other Calvin Gray, Michelle Gardner and significant other Kevin Donahue; and one son, Albert Lepage and wife Rita Lepage.

He also leaves behind his seven grandchildren, Jon and wife Brittany, Nick and wife Chelsea, T. J. and wife Nicole, Trisha, Albert and girlfriend Erin, Jennifer, Michael and wife Ashley; nine great grandchildren, Austin, Taylor, Cole, Blaine, Brooke, Lincoln, Everly, Ariyah, and Roman, his brother Maurice Lepage and wife Simone of Connecticut and his sister Lucille Gauthier of Massachusetts.

Besides his parents he was predeceased by his four brothers, three sisters and a son-in-law, Peter Wallingford.

Visitation will be held at Fortin\Auburn on Wednesday May 19, 2021, from 4-7 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday May 20, 2021 at 11 a.m., at Sacred Heart Church in Auburn. Committal prayers and burial to follow at St. Peter’s Cemetery in Lewiston.
