The Edward Little “Junior-Seniors” is scheduled for tonight at 8 o’clock at Webster School. Both classes have prepared a snappy entertainment which will include everything from the sublime to the ridiculous, according to information received this noon.
50 Years Ago: 1971
New officers of the Tri-HI-Y at Edward Little High School were honored Wednesday night at a dinner held by the group in the school cafeteria. After dinner, each officer spoke briefly. The officers are Rosemarie Malo, secretary; Leslie MacDonald, president: Barbara Jordan, vice president; and Colleen Lahey, treasurer.
25 Years Ago: 1996
Jessica Boyden, 12, daughter of Martin and Yvonne Boyden, Lisbon Falls, has been accepted into the Pennsylvania Ballet 1996 Summer Session. She was one of only 200 dancers picked nationwide from a group of 2,000 auditioners to participate in the summer session. Boyden auditioned for the Nutmeg Ballet Theater (Connecticut) International Program and Boston Ballet Young dancer’s Summer Workshop and was accepted to attend both programs. The School of the Pennsylvania Ballet has a faculty which consists of former principal and soloist dancers from prestigious ballet companies, such as New York City.
