What a wonderful tribute to Anita Murphy and her dedication to the lady Blue Devils girls tennis teams, and also her mentorship in the youth programs (“Lewiston High School tennis courts to bear coach Anita Murphy’s name,” May 25).
A big thank you to Lewiston High School Athletic Director Jason Fuller, who promoted the honor, and to the Lewiston City Council, which approved the resolution of renaming the Franklin Tennis Courts to the Coach Anita Murphy Tennis Courts. Well done, Jason and the City Council. I couldn’t be more proud of my home town and being a 1973 alumnus of LHS.
No one deserves this more than Anita — a lady of dedication, honor and humility. Congratulations, Anita.
