Gerald F. Lebrun

AUBURN – Gerald F. Lebrun, 86, a resident of Minot, passed away, Wednesday, May 26, 2021 at Androscoggin Home Care amd Hospice in Auburn. He was born April 16, 1935 in Lewiston, the son of Emile and Blanche (Roux) Lebrun.

Gerry attended grade school in Lewiston but chose to work to help support his family and deferred continuing his education at Lewiston High School until later.

On March 17, 1972 he married Theresa E. Bilodeau. Gerry was very proud of serving in the Maine National Guard in the 2nd Medium Tank Battalion, 20th Armor, which was activated during the Berlin Crisis.

Gerry worked for 33 years in wholesale food distribution at LA United Grocers, spending the last 12 years as a baker at Country Kitchen. After retiring Gerry enjoyed making maple syrup each spring for family and friends.

Gerry was very active and dedicated to his Catholic faith. For many years he was the leader of the Hidden Treasure room of the St. Philips Christmas Fair.

He is survived by his wife, Theresa Lebrun of Minot; children Nancy Lebrun of Mendocino, Calif. and Michael Lebrun of Lewiston; grandchildren Rosa and Phoenix Aum; his cat, Jeter; brother, Joseph of Lewiston, sister, Muriel Mills of Greene; and many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his parents; his brothers Paul, James, Richard, and Andy.
