Teriyaki Meatballs

Serve with steamed brown rice and broccoli for a complete meal!

Ingredients

•  1 pound Ground Turkey for meatballs

•  ¼ cup Panko Bread Crumbs for meatballs

•  1 Egg for meatballs

•  1 Green Onion thinly sliced for meatballs

•  1 cloves Garlic minced for meatballs

•  ½ tablespoon Ginger freshly grated, for meatballs

•  ½ teaspoon Soy Sauce for meatballs

•  1/8 cup Soy Sauce for sauce

•  ¼ teaspoon White Pepper for meatballs or 1/4 teaspoon Black Pepper for meatballs

•  ½ tablespoon Cornstarch for sauce

•  1 tablespoons Brown Sugar packed (for sauce)

•  ¼ teaspoon Ginger Ground, for sauce

•  1/8 teaspoon Garlic Powder (for sauce)

•  1½ tablespoons Honey (for sauce)

•  1/8 cup Water (for sauce)

•   Sesame Seeds for garnish (optional)

•   Green Onions chopped, for garnish (optional)

Directions:

1. Preheat oven to 400° F. In a large bowl, combine ground turkey, Panko breadcrumbs, eggs, green onions, garlic, ginger, soy sauce, and pepper. Using a wooden spoon or clean hands, stir until well combined.

2. Roll the mixture into 1 to 1 1/2-inch meatballs. Place meatballs onto baking sheet sprayed with non-stick spray and bake until golden brown and cooked through, about 20-25 minutes.

3. In a small bowl, whisk together cornstarch and 1/4 cup water; set aside.

4. In a small saucepan over medium heat, add soy sauce, brown sugar, ginger, garlic powder, honey, and ⅓ cup water; bring to a simmer. Add cornstarch into mixture and stir until thickened enough to coat the back of a spoon, about 2 minutes.

5. Toss meatballs with teriyaki sauce, sprinkle with green onion and sesame seeds.
