PARIS — The Select Board voted unanimously to remove Gary Mayer from the Planning Board during a brief meeting Monday evening.

Town officials said Mayer had attended just two meetings and none since early May. The board was told that he had not responded to any notifications or emails about meetings.

His spot on the Planning Board was given to alternate David Knox, who was appointed by a 5-0 vote. The board will now look for a new alternate member.

In other business, Town Manager Dawn Noyes announced that because of its safety record, the Maine Municipal Association expects to refund the town $2,623 paid for workers’ compensation.

The town audit has been completed by RHR Smith from Buxton. The public can view the 105-page document on the town’s website, parismaine.org.
