Carol Hall Heldman

WEST CHESTER, Pa. – Carol Hall Heldman, 81, passed away July 29, 2021 from complications of Alzheimer’s.

She was the daughter of the late Hollis and Marion Hall of Lewiston, Maine. She graduated from Lewiston High School in 1958 and earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing in 1962 from the University of Maine.

While at U/Maine, she met her husband, Daniel and this past May they celebrated their 57th wedding anniversary.

Raising two children, Carol and family lived in various locations in New England before moving to East Goshen Township, Pa. 35 years ago.

For most of her life, she enjoyed sailing in the summer and skiing in the winter with her family. She was a member of the Osprey Point Yacht Club, Rock Hall, Md. and Applebrook Golf Club, Malvern.

When her kids were grown, Carol delighted in her part-time work at the Malvern Public Library; especially being on the team that presented the Children’s Summer Science Program.

In retirement, Carol and her husband traveled extensively. She filled a journal on each trip and loved having them read back to her while in assisted living memory care.

Carol was the beloved wife of Daniel Heldman of West Chester, Pa.; loving mother of Eric of Pembroke, N.H. and Alison of Springfield, Pa.; dear sister of Barbara Forbes of Franklin, Tenn.; grandmother of three grandchildren; and aunt of over 20 nieces and nephews.

Friends and relatives are invited are invited to her Visitation 5:00-7:00 p.m. Friday, August 13, 2021 at The Donohue Funeral Home, 1627 West Chester Pike, West Chester, PA 19382, 610-431-9000 and to her Funeral Mass 10:30 a.m. Saturday, August 14, 2021 at SS Simon & Jude Church, 8 Cavanaugh Ct., West Chester, Pa.. Interment Private.
