Leanne Binette
LEWISTON – Leanne Binette, 67, of Randall Road, died peacefully in her sleep on Thursday July 22, 2021.
She was born in Portland on Jan. 23, 1954, a daughter of the late Maynard and Marie (Levesque) Brown. She grew up in Westbrook and lived in the surrounding area before moving to Auburn in 1980 with her family. There she began a successful career as a book typesetter for Pine Tree Composition, Inc where she worked for over 30 years until she retired in 2017.
Leanne was an avid Cribbage player who enjoyed playing with family and friends. She was a sought after Cribbage partner during league play at her local club, where friends loved being around her infectious laughter and easy going personality.
Perhaps nothing gave her greater joy than her grandchildren. She would laugh and listen endlessly to their silly stories when they were young. She beamed with delight talking about their accomplishments as they grew older. She loved and supported them with everything she had.
Leanne is survived by a brother, David; her three children, Jonathan, Samantha and Kelli; and seven grandchildren, Austin, Patrick, Britani, Brandon, Olivia, Willa and Owen.
