Finally I see someone who is standing up to the government and saying, our children are going to be in a classroom and not at home (“Langlais: Leave Masks, Vaccine to Families,” July 31).

Superintendent Jake Langlais is taking the stance that all parents should be taking for their children. Children need to be with their peers in person, learning academic skills and, especially, social skills.

It is not the same being at home and questionably listening, and not having the interaction of their peers in the classroom and outdoors.

School means being in a physical building. It also means not wearing masks, which is leading to more anxiety that the children have to live with.

I urge parents to follow Superintendent Langlais in saying “enough is enough” for their children’s well being.
