OXFORD HILLS — Pink Feather Foundation is in its third school year serving teachers and their students as a foundation, and it is the co-founders’ 10th year overall getting clothes into the hands of those who need them. The foundation has increased capacity to serve more students with its new location, and a new board of directors and committees are ensuring the organization stays viable for the expansion of its services into more districts in the coming years. With over 400 packages delivered in the last two years, the Oxford Hills community has benefited from the work of this organization and its dedicated volunteers and recently awarded them the Ron Kugell Community Partner Award.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
