Hi everyone, and welcome to the spectacular foliage spectacle that is the western foothills of Maine. Get outside where it’s healthy, and take a hike along the beautiful trails of the Robert’s Farm Preserve in Norway. Come by the Chamber office first for a trail map and programs that go on all year long.

Tonight, yes tonight, October 14, come over to the Norway Public Works Garage for our monthly Business After Hours and see what Norway has built for its citizens. Located at 32 Grove Street in Norway this new building houses 7 plow trucks, graders, loaders, excavators, sweepers, sidewalk plows, and more.

As I said earlier this was dedicated to the citizens of Norway. There will be refreshments and food, door prize giveaways, and tours of the building. Join the Chamber of Commerce and the Town of Norway in dedicating this building to all of you who support the Town of Norway in its work for all of you.

The ”On The Air Job Fair” initiative between the Bennett Radio Group & The Oxford Hills Chamber of Commerce is up and running. Stan Bennett and I are committed to helping any business that needs a helping hand to find good employees. Every Tuesday morning at 8:30 a.m., we’ll gather around the microphone at 92.7 & 100.7 WOXO FM, to feature businesses who are hiring.

You might be one of those businesses. So send us a description of the positions you have available and any details that you want to include about that position and we’ll see if we can get some interest on your behalf. You can email me directly at john@oxfordhillsmaine.com or call me at 743-2281.

Have you signed up for the Christmas Parade yet? Have you registered to put a tree in the 8th Annual Festival of Trees at the incredible McLaughlin Garden & Homestead? What are you waiting for? Just go to our website at www.oxfordhillsmaine.com and you’ll see a place where you can register your float, vehicle, group, organization, band, etc., etc., etc., and where you can register your tree for the Festival of Trees.

And we have two new businesses that have become part of our Chamber of Commerce. They are Strange Events out of Mechanic Falls and Oxford Plains Speedway is back as a member as well. Thank you for your support which will help reinforce our efforts to serve the entire business communities of the Oxford Hills.

See you next week.
