Joanne Pauline Therrien

PENSACOLA, Fla. – Joanne Pauline Therrien, 78, a former resident of Lewiston, passed away at Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola, Florida, on Oct. 10, 2021. Joanne was born on April 30, 1943, to Jean-Paul and Jeanne (Rossignol) Anctil. She attended Holy Family School and graduated from Lewiston High School in 1961. Joanne married the love of her life, Paul Raymond Therrien, on April 27, 1963. Joanne worked for several attorneys and Payroll Management in this area before moving to Florida. She worked for St. Therese Catholic Church in North Fort Myers as the parish secretary for seven years before retiring and moving to Pensacola. Joanne took great pride in her work and made many friends through her kind heart and service. Joanne was known for putting others before herself and took pleasure in seeing those around her smile. Joanne and Paul belonged to their church choirs and served as Eucharistic Ministers.Joanne lived a fulfilling life as a devoted wife, mother, sister, and friend. She enjoyed knitting, reading, spending time with her family, and playing cards and Yahtzee. Joanne’s pride and joy was her family. She is survived by husband, Paul; son, Patrick (Wendy) Therrien of Lisbon; son, Michael (Myrna) Therrien of Pensacola; daughter, Susan (Ron) Jacox of Oklahoma; daughter, Maureen (Brian) Clavet of Minot. Her nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren were the center of her universe. Also surviving are one sister and five brothers. Predeceased by her parents and mother- and father-in-law.A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, Nov. 6, 2021, at 11 a.m., at Holy Family Church with committal prayers to follow at St. Peter’s Cemetery.
