Do you feel the Nov. 2 referendum made a difference?
When our readers saw that Avangrid was going to continue building the NECEC corridor, many of the prevailing comments went like this: “Why’d we even have a vote if they’d keep building?” But local elections and referendums matter to local communities just as much as they do to the state. Lewiston voters, for example, approved nine new charter changes for the city; many western Maine towns approved medical marijuana facilities. With the mixed reaction to the outcome of Question 1 and taking into account your town’s changes, do you feel like your vote made a difference? Let us know in the poll and the comments below.
