100 Years Ago: 1921

The cast and chorus of the musical comedy “All Aboard” to be presented at the Empire theater, Saturday and Sunday, under the direction of Miss Lora Musick of Pennsylvania, are wearing postery looking orange and black tags with “AIl Aboard” conspicuously displayed. Rehearsals are going on, and much interest is being shown in this tuneful show — especially as members of the cast are well chosen for their parts, and a capacity house on the opening night is anticipated.

50 Years Ago: 1971

A class in wreath making will be sponsored by the YWCA again this holiday season. The Classes will be held on two Tuesday nights, Nov. 16 and Nov. 23. at the Kate J. Anthony House, Turner Street, Auburn. Mrs. Edward Patenaude will be the instructor. Those registering for the sessions should bring their own materials and wire cutters, but wreath frames and wire may be purchased in class. These wreaths can be used year round and are made up of pine cones, fir cones, chestnuts. beech burrs, a pound package of assorted nuts and nylon stockings all wired to a frame. To register people may call the YWCA.

25 Years Ago: 1996

The Y Ettes will meet Tuesday at 7 p.m. at the YWCA when Norm McKeone of Ann’s Flower Show will speak. He will also demonstrate floral arrangements. Hostesses will be Berth Normand and Ellie Rowe.
