Jennifer Merle Martin

SABATTUS – It is with great sadness that the family of Jennifer Merle Martin, 55, of Sabattus, announce her passing suddenly on Oct. 31, 2021 at CMMC in Lewiston.

Jenn was born in Farmington to Marilyn and Merle Buck on August 11, 1966. Jennifer attended school in Sabattus. She graduated from Oakhill High School in 1985. She later attended Auburn Adult Ed where she earned her CNA. She married the love of her life James R Martin on Oct 10, 1992. Jenn most recently worked at Willow Run Dental in Auburn, Maine as a Patient Care Coordinator for the last seventeen years.

Jenn was a kind and caring person, the rock in her family, waking up before sunrise to make sure to send everyone off with lunch each day. She put all her heart and soul into loving her husband and sons. Jenn was a proud mom. She enjoyed the simple things in life, like attending her childrens’ extra curricular activities or just spending time at home with her boys. She loved sharing photos of her son Joshua’s latest outdoor adventures. Jenn was a true “hockey mom”, always hooting and hollering for her youngest Jayson in the stands. She would also be the first one to support and cheer on her grandchildren in their events and activities. From more hockey to dance recitals to soccer games, she loved it all. She was one proud Nana!

She spent her summer days on boating adventures with her family, but mostly loved the slower paced trips along Cobbossee with the love of her life Jim. She loved her trips to the Outer Banks and the many years spent camping with her family. Jenn also enjoyed trips to Foxwoods and playing Beano with her loved ones and friends. Her annual shopping trip on Black Friday, with her sisters and friends to search for the perfect matching Christmas “jammies” for her grandchildren brought her great joy year after year. Jenn had a strong love and bond with her dog Libby, one of her best friends and her dog before that, Abby.

Jenn or “Jenny” as he always called her with a smile on his face, will be deeply missed by her beloved husband Jim. “She made me a better man.” he says. As much fun as they had spending time with family and friends, Jenn most enjoyed her time at home with her best friend, Jim.

Jennifer was preceded in death by her mom Irene Buck, dad Joe Boisvert; grandmother Virginia (Buck) Mayo, grandfather Theron “Pete” Poland and grandmother Ruth Poland.

She will be lovingly remembered by her husband, James Martin; sons, Joshua Martin, Jayson Martin, Benjamin Martin and wife Meghan Martin, daughter Sarah Fikus and husband John Fikus; father Merle Buck Jr., mother Marilyn (Poland) Buck; sisters Rae Ellen Roy and husband Greg Roy, Angel Melcher and husband Curt Melcher, brother David Cox and wife Karen Cox; and her dear grandchildren Landen, Natalie and Nicholas Fikus, Genevieve Hasson-O’Keefe, Corbin and Colette Martin. She will also be missed by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends Whom All Loved Her Deeply.

“Our memories will linger on long after our footprints in the sand are gone”
