School districts across Androscoggin County will be closed Friday due to a significant snowstorm.
“The forecast for rain transitioning to ice/snow overnight and through the morning Friday is predicted to make for poor travel conditions,” Lewiston Superintendent Jake Langlais wrote Thursday. “Cheers to your hot chocolate, your bowl of soup, and your extended weekend.”
School closures by 7 p.m. Thursday include: Lewiston Public Schools, Auburn School Department, Poland-based Regional School Unit 16 and Turner-based Maine School Administrative District 52.
Wales-based Regional School Unit 4 will have a remote learning day.
