NEWTON, Mass. — Alexis Gatto of Auburn, a student at Lasell University, traveled with the university’s School of Fashion to Coterie NYC, a premier trade show hosting more than 500 brands at the Jacob Javits Center.

Gatto was one of 50 School of Fashion students who attended the show to view apparel lines from vendors around the United States, and witnessed firsthand how buyers select products for their stores and e-commerce sites.
