50 Years Ago: 1972

A sewing meeting of the Lucky Stars 4-H Club was held recently at the home of Gertrude Perkins, 1610 Summer St., Auburn. The girls worked on the garments they are making for the dress review which will be held at Walton School on April 8. Previous business meeting notepads were passed out to all the members who had made 4H soil and water conservation posters and a coming parents’ night was discussed.

25 Years Ago: 1997

The South Auburn Baptist Church, 1086 Riverside Drive, will present an Easter musical of faith by the church choir, “The Boy Who Believed,” at 6:30 p.m. Sunday. The setting will be a street on the outskirts of Jerusalem where Kack, an orphan earns his keep by doing chores at Old Aaron’s Inn.
